Bay Paddle Training Update - Week of 6/29

Hello friends of the Bay Paddle!

Sunrise over the Magothy River

First and foremost, thank you for your support. We’ve raised over $35k before we’ve even officially announced the Paddle (coming soon). So much has happened since we launched our website in late February.

Flying Dog Beer joined as our presenting sponsor and will be marketing the paddle and providing post paddling refreshment all summer. Salt Life is now our official apparel sponsor and will be producing an exclusive Bay Paddle t-shirt they will sell nationwide with all proceeds going to Oyster Recovery Partnership.

GoPro, NK Sports, Red Paddle Company and Starboard SUP have joined the team and are outfitting me with the best products during my training and the 200+ mile paddle as well as donating products for auction and giveaways.

The Popovich Financial Group and Riparius Construction made generous donations and we can’t thank them enough for their support. We’re always looking for more local, corporate partners and are happy to promote and support their businesses.

We have a long way to go and you can continue to help by promoting the Paddle on Facebook and letting your friends know that a simple $10 donation helps plant 1,000 oyster spat.

Want to know what it takes to train for a 9-day, 200+ mile adventure?

Stay tuned for our next update on training, injury prevention (ever heard of dry needling?) and more. In the meantime, here are some great pics from my time on the water, including a behind the scenes snapshot of some filming we did (more on that later as well).
